A Wheel Hub & Bearing Assembly is located between the drum brakes/ brakes disc and drive axle, with the wheel bolted to it. Hence as the axle spins, so will the wheel. Power is thus transmitted to the wheels.

What are the symptoms of a bad wheel hub?

The most obvious sign will be a metal grinding noises coming from the wheel while the car is in motion. Stop the vehicle immediately in a safe zone.

Also be alert to a wobbly steering wheel, as the steering of the vehicle feels loose.

Look out for uneven tyre wear, though this could be a sign of other components in the steering & suspension going bad.
