ENGINE MOUNTING

The function of a car Engine Mounting is to hold the engine in place.

And as the engine contains many moving parts, much vibration is created as result. The Engine Mounts will hold the engine tight enough to reduce this vibration.

Look out for symptoms of bad Engine Mounting.

An increased vibration felt from inside of the car or a louder than usual engine noise may hint of Engine Mounting problems. On certain vehicles, a damaged Engine Mount may result in a jolt when engaged in Drive or Reverse gear, or during acceleration or deceleration.

Most commonly, problems with Engine Mountings involve the broken rubber or a leakage.
