OIL FILTER

A car’s Oil Filter serves to remove particles from the engine oil, which can result in damages to the oil pump and wear surfaces of the engine.

As the engine oil circles through the engine, particles and contaminants get mixed with oil in the process. At every cycle, the engine oil enters the Oil Filter and passes through its synthetic fiber made filter, removing the particles before entering the engine again.

What are signs of a bad Oil Filter?

Check the car’s temperature gauge. Engine oil is essential in aid of moving engine parts, in which heat is generated. If the oil is not allowed to pass through due to a blockage, the moving components in the engine will become overheated from the lack of lubrication, resulting in an overheated engine.

Check the car’s oil pressure gauge. With less oil getting into the engine, oil pressure will reduced even as acceleration takes place.
