IDLER ARM
An Idler Arm in a car is located in the suspension system, and serves as a pivoting support for the steering linkage. This pivot function makes them prone to wear & damage.
Here is how we can detect signs of a bad Idler Arm.
If you have made efforts to keep the steering wheel straight, but the vehicle still seem to wander around, it could point to a bad idler arm.
While the car is in a still position, try turning the steering wheel to check if there is only little resistance detected. A faulty Idler Arm will result in the steering wheel having too much play.
